1. Application Field
   • The SIT8208AC is a mini size high precision low power clock generator. It is built by an oscillator circuit and a programmable dividers with versatile application. It is widely used in various kinds of digital and analog products, such as PC, digital video and audio, analog video and audio, telephone, router, distributed system, modem, fax machine, network switch, wireless transceiver, etc.
2. Working Principle
   • The SIT8208AC uses a quartz crystal oscillator as its time base. The frequency is from kHz to MHz, and the frequency resolution is from 10-7 to 10-12.The sub harmonic amplification of the oscillator is controlled by the temperature and the voltage. The oscillation frequency stability is determined by the temperature coefficient of the crystal and the resonant frequency of the quartz crystal, and most of the stability is contributed by the crystal.
   • In addition to the crystal oscillator, the SIT8208AC also has a phase-locked loop (PLL) circuit, which is used to synthesize different frequencies.
