It is designed with multiple packages such as 4-pin through-hole, 5-pin through-hole, 5-pin surface mount, 6-pin surface mount and even a 4-pad ceramic SMD (SMD size 14.4EC14.4) packages. Together with this variety of packages, the device has great utility in a wide range of temperature options from -25°C to 85°C.

The SIT8208AC-GF-25S-16.000000X oscillator works on an embedded quartz crystal crystal, that is a quartz crystal held by electrodes along its entire length, so that electric charges have direct access to the entire crystal. The crystal is tuned by changing its physical dimensions to oscillate at a desired frequency. This frequency is determined by the vibrations of the crystal, and can be affected by external magnetic fields.
