Oscillators

The SIT8209AC-3F-28S-150.000000Y is an oscillator type device that is used to produce periodic electrical signals. It is a monolithic integrated circuit (IC) constructed out of primarily CMOS technology. The output frequency of the oscillator can be adjusted by introducing an external capacitor to the oscillator circuit. The oscillator can be configured to produce either sine waves or square waves with frequencies ranging from 1Hz to over 150MHz.

Working Principle

The oscillator is based on an LC oscillator circuit. It consists of an inductor (L) and a capacitor (C) connected in series. The capacitance of the capacitor determines the frequency of oscillation and the inductance of the inductor determines the amplitude of the oscillation.
