This programmable oscillator can be used to generate signals for antennas, baseband signal processors, digital system clocks, and high frequency up-converters for wireless communications.The SIT9002AC-18N25DO programmable oscillator also offers a wide range of applications where stable, high performance signal generation is desired. Examples of such applications include wireless communications, satellite navigation, wireless LANs, car-keys and smart card readers, machine vision and automatic packet capture systems, and radar systems. This programmable oscillator is also used in the manufacture of RF system components, including the design of antennae for the communications industry, and the production of integrated circuit chips for the automotive industry.In terms of its working principle, the SIT9002AC-18N25DO consists of a PLL circuit with a Programmable Frequency Control Unit. The Programmable Frequency Control Unit consists of an Analog-To-Digital Converter (ADC) as well as a Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCO) that outputs the synthesized waveform. The VCO is connected to a voltage-controlled crystal oscillator.
