Programmable oscillators have become a popular fractional-N and integer-N frequency synthesizer and jitter attenuator for a variety of applications in today\'s wireless and communications systems. The SIT9002AC-33N25DT is no exception and has been designed for use in a wide range of applications, such as afterburner, synthesis and jitter attenuation for the wireless market. In addition, the oscillator can be used for timing/communication applications, communications/satellite receivers, precision telecom/datacom clock systems, DDR memory controllers, audio processors and computer/consumer applications.

SIT9002AC-33N25DT is an extremely versatile, low-power dissipating, programmable frequency synthesizer and jitter attenuator. It provides the system designer the ability to integrate a wide range of reference oscillator frequencies while providing wide tuning range and low-jitter performance. The SIT9002AC-33N25DT is capable of supporting input frequencies of 10 MHz to 250 MHz, while providing a tunable (or selectable) output frequency range of up to 400.0 MHz.

The programmability of the SIT9002AC-33N25DT enables system designers to create advanced frequency synthesizer and jitter attenuator solutions. It utilizes a delaylocked phase loop architecture that utilizes a phase detector, a loop filter, and a voltage controlled oscillator. In addition, the oscillator features a 4-wire serial interface that allows for programming and control of the output frequency.

In addition, the SIT9002AC-33N25DT provides flexibility in the selection of reference frequency and tuning range, enabling applications where the output frequency requirements may change over time. The wide tuning range and low-jitter performance make the programmable oscillator ideally suited for applications in the wireless and communications markets.

SIT9002AC-33N25DT also offers extensive on-chip features to support a wide range of applications such as on-chip temperature compensation and frequency accuracy, integrated 24-bit phase-locked loop, low-power management and a wide selection of control modes. In addition, the oscillator uses a novel Lyotropic Liquid Crystal packet that reduces power consumption without sacrificing output jitter.
