Programmable oscillators are the components used in electronic systems that generate a specified frequency output. The SIT9002AC-38H33DO –also referred to as the SIT9002– is a programmable oscillator based on a mature 32.768 kHz fundamental frequency, high stability and low profile design. The SIT9002 provides frequency outputs ranging from 1 kHz to 33 MHz; and as high as 400 MHz with the optional PLL frequency multiplying feature. The PLL (phase-locked loop) feature is designed to provide output frequencies 4 times higher than the fundamental frequency.

The SIT9002 provides high operating temperature stability and produces a high precision output signal while consuming very low power. It is suitable for various consumer electronic applications such as toys, remote control, clocks and watches, consumer electronic appliances and etc. The programmable oscillator is also used in professional security systems, data storage and retrieval systems, automotive systems, industrial control and process control.

The SIT9002 is a comprehensive oscillator that is designed to meet the most demanding requirements of the electronics industry. The oscillator employs a dual-output slew rate controller that enables it to produce high accuracy oscillator outputs with low jitter. The SIT9002 also features power management circuitry to allow the oscillator to remain in a low power state when it is not in use.

The SIT9002 uses advanced electronic packaging techniques to ensure optimal mechanical and thermal interfacing with the board and to ensure maximum performance. The oscillator utilizes a SMD-LGA-3 mounting option which ensures a secure mechanical connection to the board. The integrated 3.2mm miniature foot print provides the highest level of space utilization. The SIT9002 is compatible with both single-sided and double-sided boards.

The SIT9002 can be programmed over a wide variety of frequencies and to specific voltage levels. The oscillator features a multi-level pull-up/down operation and can be programmed to change its output frequency under software control.
