Programmable Oscillators
Programmable oscillators are special type of oscillators that can be adjusted or changed to a specific frequency, usually by using external circuitry or by using a simple programming procedure. This reference signal is generated from an onboard temperature-compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO).The SIT9002AI-33H33EK is also capable of operating as a current-controlled oscillator (CCO). In this case the voltage is varied, instead of the current, to control the frequency of the output signal. The output signal from the CCO is then compared with a built-in reference signal to determine its proper frequency or phase. The reference signal is once again generated from the onboard TCXO.The SIT9002AI-33H33EK also features a wide range of features and capabilities, including an active count input. This active count input is used to control the frequency and phase of the output signal. This active count input is used to adjust the frequency of the output signal in the 1 to 96 KHz range, and the phase of the output signal in the 0 to +/-180 degree range.The SIT9002AI-33H33EK can also be programmed to adjust its frequency or phase over a wide range of temperatures, from -40°C to +85°C. This allows for the oscillator to be adjusted for different temperatures in order to achieve the most accurate and reliable operation.The SIT9002AI-33H33EK also includes special features, such as an adjustable performance control, which can be used to adjust the temperature compensation and jitter performance of the oscillator. Its frequency adjustability is designed to provide fast and accurate frequency tuning.
