Programmable Oscillators are electronic oscillators that can be programmed or adjusted to specific desired frequencies. The SIT9003AC-1-28SQ is a programmable oscillator, which offers a high frequency range of 10 MHz to 25 MHz, low power consumption, and low phase noise.

Application Field

The SIT9003AC-1-28SQ is aprogrammable oscillator with features to support a wide range of applications. It is able to support communication protocols, such as GSM, WCDMA and LTE, as well as other technologies like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Zigbee. It is commonly used in radio,wireless communication, positioning, navigation, and automotive control systems. Additionally, the SIT9003AC-1-28SQ can be used for general purpose frequency control, such asclock systems and frequency synthesizers.

Working Principle

The SIT9003AC-1-28SQ works in two different configurations. The first is to use its frequency programming power, which delivers a wide range of frequency adjustments with accuracy. The programing range can be adjusted from 10 MHz to 25 MHz. The second configuration is to use its pre-programmed frequency bands. The frequency bands can be programmed from 8 MHz to 20 MHz with a step size of 8 kHz.

The SIT9003AC-1-28SQ has a high frequency stability and low phase noise, which is advantageous for radio applications. The oscillator also utilizes low current consumption and requires a single voltage for operation. Moreover, the SIT9003AC-1-28SQ offers an additional frequency termination pin for external resistor control in addition to its internal resistor.

The SIT9003AC-1-28SQ offers superb performance with its phase noise of -118dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset, harmonics as low as -90dBc, and excellent temperature stability. It also offers an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85 °C, making it suitable for various industrial applications. The oscillator comes in a small SMT package measuring 3.2mm x 3.2mm with a maximum height of 1.35mm. This makes it a perfect solution for space-constrained applications.
