Working Principle

The SIT9005ACE2H-25NG Programmable Oscillator operates by converting a reference frequency to an output frequency through a divide by N/M circuit. The reference frequency is divided by an N/M prescaler, then it is further divided or multiplied by different dividers and multipliers. A digital time interval counter is used to control the frequency. The output frequency is then compared to the reference frequency and if there is a discrepancy, the output frequency is adjusted to match the reference frequency.
