Programmable oscillators (POs) have been used in many applications over the years, primarily in the industrial, medical, aerospace and defense sectors. They are used to precisely control the frequency of a signal, as well as its phase or duty cycle. In many cases, programmable oscillators can replace an array of discrete, analog components that together generate the desiredwaveform or frequency.
