Programmable Oscillators: SIT9005ACL1G-33SM Application Field and Working Principle
Programmable oscillators are oscillators with a frequency that can be adjusted with external components. The SIT9005ACL1G-33SM is a high-frequency programmable oscillator that can be adjusted over a certain range. Its application fields cover various equipment and systems such as phase-locked systems, frequency synthesizers, and remote sensing applications.This programmable oscillator can be adjusted in frequency by supplying a voltage or current to its control pins, which allows for quick and precise tuning of frequency. Its frequency range is 3 to 200MH (max). The oscillator has a maximum output swing range of ±200mVpp, a low power consumption of 4mA, and a low phase noise of -166dBc/Hz.The internal operation of the SIT9005ACL1G-33SM programmable oscillator is based on an oscillation circuit and a voltage-controlled active resistor network. The oscillation circuit consists of a differential amplifier, an RC structure for an oscillation period and a comparator for output logic level.The SIT9005ACL1G-33SM has three control pins for voltage input. Those three pins are used to adjust the resistance of the active resistor network which tunes the frequency of the oscillator. When a positive voltage is applied to the control pins, the resistance of the active resistor network decreases and the frequency of the oscillator increases. Conversely, when there is a negative voltage, the resistance increases and the frequency decreases.The SIT9005ACL1G-33SM is also equipped with a logic enable/disable pin. When the enable/disable pin is set to logic \'high\', the oscillator will output the programmable frequency. When the enable/disable pin is set to logic \'low\', the oscillator output will be disabled.The SIT9005ACL1G-33SM offers a great combination of features and performance in an easy to use, cost effective package. Its frequency control accuracy and low phase noise improve system accuracy and reliability. In addition, its wide frequency range, low power consumption, small package size and fast switching speed make it an ideal choice for applications such as phase-locked systems, frequency synthesizers and remote sensing.
