A programmable oscillator may also contain other components such as a crystal oscillator, a filter, a reset switch, and a digital- frequency-control (DFC) circuit.The SIT9005ACL2D-25SM is a 16-pin surface-mount, crystalline-based programmable oscillator (PO) from Sitronix. It is a third-generation device that has high frequency accuracy and stability. The SIT9005 is suitable for applications such as Ethernet, communication systems, printers, video camera systems, and other consumer electronics. Additionally, the SIT9005 also provides a wide temperature operating range that ranges from -40°C to 125°C and offers a range of output frequencies from 15.000kHz to up to 125.000MHz.The SIT9005ACL2D-25SM is based on a patented design called Programmable Oscillator Flipchip Plus Technology (POF-Plus). This technology enables the oscillator to not only be reliable in terms of frequency accuracy and stability, but also to be cost-effective compared to non-programmable oscillators.
