Its features, applications and working principle are elaborated as follows.FeaturesThe SIT9005ACR1D-30ND Programmable Oscillator features an unparalleled bandwidth up to 2GHz, with low phase noise, low current consumption and wide operating temperature range (-40°C to +85°C). It has an ultra-high frequency stability, in the range of ±30ppm. Moreover, this product provides reliable and accurate clock sources for PCR and ASIC/SoC applications.ApplicationsThe SIT9005ACR1D-30ND Programmable Oscillator is suitable for multiple applications such as digital telephony, cellular base stations, optical networking and wireless communication. This product provides high-performance clock signals for digital systems such as baseband processors, routers, and FPGA, as well as for video / audio applications. Moreover, it can be applied to clock synchronization, data buffering, counter / dividers, and frequency divider.Working PrincipleThe SIT9005ACR1D-30ND Programmable Oscillator works with a simple operational principle. It is based on two voltage controlled oscillators, coupled with a system of frequency divider dividing or multiplying the oscillation that is applied in the system. The VCO is used to generate a sinusoidal waveform by applying alternating voltage to a capacitor and inductor. This waveform is then divided into a number of different frequencies, until the required output frequency is achieved - this can range from kHz to GHz. This oscillation is then stored in the memory, until a register is activated, which triggers the oscillator. The frequency accuracy is controlled by a PLL and quartz crystals for frequency tuning.To sum up, the SIT9005ACR1D-30ND Programmable Oscillator is an excellent device for applications in high frequency range and low current consumption, such as digital telephony, video applications, and digital systems such as routers and FPGA.
