The SIT9005 Series Programmable Oscillators from Seiko Instruments offer a variety of features that make them ideal for many application designs.The SIT9005 Series is a programmable oscillator which includes the SIT9005ACT1G-18DH model which is a 2-pad ceramic SMD oscillator with frequency range from 2MHz to 18MHz. These oscillators are designed for use in precision clock applications and are available in both 3.3V and 5V supply voltages. The SIT9005ACT1G-18DH has a frequency stability of ±50ppm over an operating temperature of -20°C to 70°C.The frequency of these oscillators is controlled by a digitally programmable divider which can be programmed using an SPI serial interface, allowing users to easily configure their clocks to any required frequency. The SIT9005ACT1G-18DH offers a low power consumption of only 3mA, making it ideal for power sensitive applications.The SIT9005ACT1G-18DH oscillator also offers a wide frequency range and a wide temperature range, making it ideal for a variety of applications. It is also highly reliable with a minimum MTBF of 5 million hours at 25°C thus providing long-term reliability.The working principle of the SIT9005 Series Programmable Oscillators is based on the use of a digitally programmable divider which can be programmed for any required frequency, enabling the oscillators to be precisely adjusted for any application. The oscillator is driven by an external clock source, and the frequency is divided down to the desired frequency by the programmable divider. The SIT9005ACT1G-18DH divider can be programmed to divide the external clock signal by any integer between 1 and 64. This enables the output frequency to be precisely adjusted to any desired frequency with a resolution of 1kHz-2MHz.The SIT9005ACT1G-18DH oscillator can be used in a number of applications such as broadcast digital video production and broadcasting, medical imaging and monitoring, handheld products, industrial automation and control, automotive and navigation, and aerospace applications. The precision frequency stability and wide temperature range of the SIT9005ACT1G-18DH oscillator make it ideal for many clock frequency control applications. It is ideal for use in applications such as clock synthesizers, reduced component counts, and multiple frequency applications. In clock synthesizer applications it can be programmed to create different frequencies from a single source for multiple applications. In reduced component count applications it can be used to reduce the component count by replacing multiple discrete clocks with a single oscillator. And in multiple frequency applications it can be programmed to multiple different frequencies for different tasks on a single board.Overall, the SIT9005ACT1G-18DH oscillator is an ideal solution for a variety of clock frequency control applications that require precision frequency stability and wide temperature range.
