This programmable oscillator is available in a standard 22-pin SOIC (Small Outline Integrated Circuit) package, making it ideal for applications in a restricted space.The SIT9005ACU1G-33SO follows a three-stage voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) design, providing a wide tuning range and excellent linearity. The oscillator’s built-in VCO is based on a digitally-compensated CMOS VCO core and operates from a single 2.5V input. Its frequency range spans from 32kHz to 150MHz (up to 500kHz for B-grade). Output frequency is linearly proportional to the supply voltage and is also adjustable via an external resistor/capacitor (R/C) divider.The main feature of the SIT9005ACU1G-33SO is its programmability. It can be programmed in real-time or with an external programming device, enabling users to make frequency or output adjustments fast and accurately. It can also be reprogrammed easily to meet changing application requirements.In addition, the SIT9005ACU1G-33SO offers excellent phase-noise performance, great jitter figures, and excellent start-up reliability. It is very low in power consumption, consuming total current of 75mA maximum.
