Programmable Oscillators

Programmable oscillators enable precision frequency synthesis that meets the requirements of various embedded applications and enable mass customization of frequency-dependent designs without impacting cost or availability. The SIT9120AC-1B-XXE is a simple yet powerful programmable oscillator designed for applications with a single-ended output. The SIT9120AC-1B-XXE is equipped with an integrated frequency-control unit (FCU) and an internal memory that can store and read programmable parameters for up to eight user-programmed frequencies. The FCU is designed to provide frequency stability over a wide range of environmental conditions, which makes it suitable for a variety of applications. The oscillator can be programmed to produce a signal that has a frequency range of 80.000 MHz to 1,200.00 MHz, and it can output single-ended or differential signal. The signal output is tunable to the desired frequency via a programmable digital tuning feature. The digital tuning feature allows the oscillator to be programmed to a frequency that is within the specified range, much like a voltage regulator.In addition to its frequency tuning feature, the SIT9120AC-1B-XXE also offers fast frequency settling time, low power consumption and a wide temperature range of operation.
