It has a wide operating temperature range from -40°C to +90°C. It also features low power output, low power consumption and adjustable temperature compensation.The SIT9120AC-2C-XXS is suitable for data synchronization, time and frequency control of servers, network cards, routers, switches, and other data communication devices.The working principle of the SIT9120AC-2C-XXS programmable oscillator is based on a quartz crystal and CMOS IC (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor). The quartz crystal vibrates when an electric potential is applied to it, thus forming an oscillator. The CMOS IC provides the drive current and amplifies the output of the oscillator.The frequency of the oscillator is determined by the physical characteristics of the quartz crystal, including the thickness of the quartz and the amount of electric current flowing through the crystal. The electric current is controlled by adjusting the supply voltage and the amount of charge stored in a small capacitor connected to the crystal. The capacitor can be adjusted by changing the output voltage and current of the CMOS IC.The frequency of the quartz crystal can also be adjusted by changing the temperature, which is why the SIT9120AC-2C-XXS programmable oscillator is temperature compensated. When the temperature is increased, the frequency of the quartz crystal is lowered, which is compensated by increasing the supply voltage.The majority of the features and functions of the SIT9120AC-2C-XXS programmable oscillator are implemented in hardware, including temperature compensation and frequency control.
