This VCO is most suitable in multi-band transmitters, signal tone measurements, ultra-wideband communications systems, wide-band satellite navigation systems, and precision test & measurement oscillator applications.The operating principle of the SIT9120AI-2CF-XXS166.666666Y is based on its double crystal. This double crystal VCO is composed of two large diameter high Q crystals with a high precision etching aluminium resonator which enables stable frequency control over its wide operating range. Its high Q quartz crystals combined with its unique comb structure effectively reduces any 1/f noise generated by the oscillator, allowing consistent and stable performance.The SIT9120AI-2CF-XXS166.666666Y also features a high linearity voltage control input port which provides an ultra wide tuning range with an output power level of 0 dBm into a 50 ohm load. This VCO also has an inductor in its design that improves its phase noise performance. The combination of the double crystal and the linearity of the VCO enables a wide output frequency range from 2~300 MHz.
