SK-CRII-L-G is a professional development board for those who want to implement complex logic systems on their projects. It is an embedded development board equipped with FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) and CPLD (Carrier Programmable Logic Device). It has 4 stages of instruction memory and 16 registers, and 64K bits internal RAM for data memory.

CPLD is an integrated circuit which consists of more than one logic cell and can perform complex logic functions. It is designed using HDLs (hardware description languages) like VHDL and Verilog and can be used in various designs ranging from simple combinatorial circuits to full-fledged microprocessors. The CPLD on SK-CRII-L-G board has 8 high-speed logic blocks and 3 general-purpose serial ports. It is programmed using object codes created by Quartus® II or Mentor Graphics®.

SK-CRII-L-G uses the FTDI-based USB 2.0 interface and provides up to two high speed UARTs (up to 115200bps). The FPGA and CPLD are connected to the board by two 50-pin connectors. Other dedicated ports include VGA port, LCD display interface, SD/MMC card socket, audio input and output sockets, microSD card socket, USB Type-A port, etc. The board supports Altera’s Quartus® II software for design and simulation, and Mentor Graphics® for programming. It also supports the following operating systems: Windows, Linux, Mac OS, and Android.
