Working Principle
The SL-101-T-10 header/receptacle works on the principle of positive locking. It has two casing parts, a male header and female receptacle, which is securely held together through the force created by the press-fit contacts. The contacts are held in place by the housing which has two wings/tabs that allow it to snap in and hold firmly in place. The contact within the receptacle has a primary locking mechanism which engages when the header is inserted ensuring that the connection is secure and does not come apart during heavy vibration or frequent use.
The SL-101-T-10 header/receptacle has a current rating up to 5A. It has a temperature range of -55°C to +125°C and a dielectric withstanding voltage of 500V AC. The contacts themselves are plated with either gold or tin depending on the requirement.
