LED Indication is a process of using LEDs and other lighting components to output visuals of a certain signal. Among others, the discrete type of LED Indication is a rather simple, yet effective, way to communicate signals in a secure manner and in small, easy-to-install packages.

The SLR-56VRT32, developed by Romco Enterprises, is one of the most widely used discrete indicators. It is designed to be a cost-effective and ultra high performance signal module, as it can measure and detect signals at frequencies as low as 10ppm.

The SLR-56VRT32 can be used in a variety of applications. These include, but are not limited to: agriculture, automotive, medical and industrial. For instance, it can be used to monitor temperature and humidity levels for a variety of greenhouse conditions. Also, it can be used to identify when a vehicle needs service, by detecting and displaying corresponding signals sent to the light module.

The SLR-56VRT32 operates using two main components; the LED indicator and the LED driver. The LED indicator is the light source that receives the signals and changes its intensity depending on the signal strength. Generally, the higher the voltage, the brighter the light given off. The LED Driver is responsible for receiving the signal and powering up the LED.

When the LED indicator is operated at its rated voltage, the output voltage of the LED Driver follows a logarithmic curve rather than a straight line. This ensures that the light increment is consistent, no matter what the voltage for the voltage supplied by the LED driver is.

As the voltage is increased, the current through the LEDs is also increased, resulting in a brighter output. When the voltage is decreased, the current is also reduced, resulting in a dimmer output. In this way, the SLR-56VRT32 can control the brightness of the LED indicator and can be used to display multiple signals in a small package.
