Application Field

The SM-OACUA series offers two types of products. The SM-OACUA-A and SM-OACUA-R products are designed for use in automation and robotics applications, while the SM-OACUA-M and SM-OACUA-S are suitable for high-precision sensing, quality assurance, and general-purpose applications.

Working Principle

The SM-OACUA products are designed to ensure reliable performance in harsh environmental conditions. The input and output ports can be programmed with different operating modes for optimal performance. Furthermore, they are protected against over-temperature, over-voltage, and short-circuit.

The output relay is activated when the input switch is filled. An opto-isolator allows reliable galvanic isolation from the input to the output. A short-circuit protection limits current to the relay coils in case of short-circuits, and an adjustable current protection allows for accurate current limitation.

The relay coils can be pulse-width modulated for lower power consumption and increased reliability. The adjustable timer allows for precise timing of the pulse and is able to switch from a pulse-width-modulated output to a constant-on output.

The SM-OACUA relay modules feature a temperature compensation algorithm that ensures accurate and repeatable operation over a wide temperature range. This allows for greater security and higher reliability in harsh operating conditions.
