Working Principle

The SMM-120-02-S-S-LC-P low voltage header connectors use a two-piece system: the header and the socket. The header has male pins and the socket has two female contact sets. One set is used for soldering the ribbon cable to the PCB, while the other set connects the two PCBs.

The socket has two wiper contacts, which make contact with different points of the pin, providing a reliable connection with few points of contact.
