The SMM-122-02-S-D connector is a 2-row, 12-pin rectangular header connector that offers a reliable and cost-effective solution for applications requiring a signal transmission interface. This product is part of the Headers, Receptacles, Female Sockets category - ideal for low-profile, tight spaced, and high-density applications.

The connector has a low profile design with a 0.30mm contact centerline. This connector is compatible with multiple mating headers and is used in applications such as personal computers, industrial control systems, automotive, home appliances and instrumentation. It features friction locks and EMI shielding for secure and reliable connections.

To provide the most reliable and secure connection, SMM-122-02-S-D utilizes a friction lock system which eliminates the need for additional cable ties and clips. The connector features a combination of high-temperature plastic and stainless steel which ensures a maximum of 6N mating force and up to 15N axial retention force. This friction lock design makes it ideal for use in harsh environments.

This particular model implements a 2-row 12-pin design with aligned pins. It features open-normals with male wire crimp contacts and a durable plastic housing. The contacts are gold-plated and provide an excellent electrical connection. The connector is rated for 0.5A current per contact and 700V operating voltage. The insulation resistance is rated at 1000MΩ minimum.

The contact termination is pre-looped, offering a time-saving assembly process. Soldering is not required, with solder-dipping and crimp systems available for secure termination. The connector uses a simple friction lock system and the connector has positions that correspond with the current guide-key, in order to ensure proper mating. In addition, the shell has a separate ground contact which allows for lower resistance and better EMI shielding.
