Rectangular connectors are connectors that can be divided into headers, receptacles, and female sockets. SSM-135-LM-DH is one of the rectangular connectors widely used in automation control, communication equipment, automatic test systems, and many other fields. The features of this rectangular connector include a low contact resistance, a high dielectric strength, an Environmental Lifetime of 10,000 Cycles, and a high withstanding voltage of 1000V.

The SSM-135-LM-DH connector’s mate is a 2.54mm double row header. The plastic material used in its shell is UL94-V0, PBT. This rectangular connector is composed of a mating part, a lead part, and a contact part. The ordinary contact material is made with copper alloy, and the high-strength contact material is made with stainless-steel and PCT. The plating material of the contact is gold-plated. The contact and lead part are integrated forming one. The SSM-135-LM-DH mating part consists of 5mm pitch bottom line terminals for two rows and 13 colors that can be chosen according to different wire size.

The working principle of SSM-135-LM-DH rectangular connector is that the mating part of the connector is connected to the counterpart with the help of mating structure, and the contact part, which serves as the lead part, is connected to the corresponding wiring. The contact part is inserted in the guide groove of the mating part and the contact part and the lead part are together tightly fixed to the mating part and the contact part is enclosed and protected during the mating process. When mating, the damping spring at the side of the guide groove in mating part cushions the connection, and the front part of the guide groove is arranged at the bottom of the contact part. When all the contact and lead parts are connected, the electrical characteristics of the whole circuit are stable and reliable.
