SSM-150-T-DV Application Field and Working Principle

The SSM-150-T-DV is a mixed-pitch right angle header connector with two mounting heights. It is suitable for various field applications requiring mixed-pitch connectors that take up minimal space. Featuring a patented double-sided contact design, SSM-150-T-DV provides high current capacity and the extra shielding required for sensitive applications.

The SSM-150-T-DV is a traditional, mixed-pitch connector that utilizes a low profile, two piece design. It consists of a male header with pins that mates with a receptacle with cavities and pins on its mating side. The cavities in the receptacle are typically numbered, allowing for easily identification of each connection. The connectors are then secured together with a latch which keeps them firmly in place. The low profile makes it suitable for tight-packed spaces such as in handheld electronic devices as well as in surge suppressors, LED drivers and industrial devices.

The SSM-150-T-DV is capable of carrying high electrical current without compromising on contact reliability. This is due to the patented dual-sided contact design which provides an increased contact area for better power transfer.
