Working Principle
The SSQ-127-03-T-S-RA is also known as “SMT Rectangular Connectors-Headers, Receptacles, Female Sockets”. This type of connector has an SMT series that are designed to provide robust connections for the mounting of board-to-board applications. It is featured by a negative polarization on a positive contact with secure mating capabilities. The contact receptacles are equipped with both pairs of mating/gripping ramp and halogen-free shroud for reliable mating. The shrouded design serves to reduce the risk of ESD and on-side contact. The electrical contacts are made of brass or phosphor bronze.
The SSQ-127-03-T-S-RA is operated in two types connections including crimp and solder. It features an impressive array of standard contact arrangements that facilitates the quick mating of two different type of connectors. The solder connection is able to withstand of a maximum temperature range of 250°C and the crimp connection operates at a maximum temperature of 125°C.
The contact resistance is low, with both contacts providing a durational current rating of 2.75A. In order to provide secure connections between two types of connectors, the SSQ-127-03-T-S-RA is designed with a locking system that blocks the different type of connectors from disengaging from each other. The locking ability also enhances the vibration resistance of the connection. Moreover, the life cycle of the product is ensured by the self-retaining features, providing dry protection of the assembly.
