SSQ-134-03-S-S Application Field and Working Principle

Application Field:

SSQ-134-03-S-S is a kind of rectangular connectors specifically used for digital and analog signal applications. It is a High Speed Type I header. It has a 3 row of 3+4+3 contacts, which are 1.27mm pitch, surface mount, and Right-Angle type. It has a good contact reliability up to 2000 cycles, and RoHS compliant.

It is mainly used in countless sectors such as power supply, electric auto, medical and consumer technology, networking technology, and building automation, providing the connection, control and transfer of digital, analog, power and coaxial signals.

Working Principle:

Due to its 3 rows of 3+4+3 contacts, the SSQ-134-03-S-S has three rows of connector pins, and two rows of female sockets. When connected, all contact pins enter the corresponding female sockets to ensure that the connection is firmly maintained.

The SSQ-134-03-S-S header is mainly soldered onto a printed circuit board using surface mount technology or automated mass production machines, and the receptacle is manually plugged onto the pins. This process requires professional technical knowledge and excellent soldering skills.

Once the header and receptacle are inserted respectively, the signal transfer is controlled by the connector and the contacts start transmitting signals according to the designated configuration. All signal lines will be pre-tested and contact impedance will be measured due to its high accuracy.

The SSQ-134-03-S-S connection is built to be both gas-tight and water-tight for the purpose of protecting the connection from moisture, dirt and dust. It also has a good shielding effect, which can largely reduce or prevent electromagnetic and radio frequency interference.
