STR-W6053S is a low cost, high performance, off-line switching regulator which utilizes a quasi-resonant topology. This device is designed for flyback type AC- to-DC applications with loading down to <0.1W, providing high efficiency and low power consumption. The device integrates an improved quasi-resonant controller and a 700V MOSFET, which has a guaranteed high maximum audible noise, high efficiency and a high secondary side isolation. It is suitable mainly for consumer applications such as color TVs, set-top boxes, LCD lighting and adapters.

The STR-W6053S has an operating range of up to 500KHz with an accurate peak current control. The device is also provided with a soft-start function and a burst mode support that allow the operation in stand-by mode. The circuit features an over-voltage protection, a time out protection, an over-load protection and an over-temperature protection.
