Tantalum capacitors are capacitors which employ tantalum as the anode material. It is mainly used in applications requiring low incremental currents, high-frequency operation, and/or high stability. The majority of tantalum capacitors are electrolytic and are polarized, however, non-polarized versions are also available. Tantalum capacitors are typically classified into two main varieties: wet and polymer. T520C337M004ATE025 is of the latter, "polymer", kind.

Working Principle

Tantalum capacitors use essentially the same principles as all capacitors and work with both AC and DC currents. The capacitor consists of an anode and cathode plate, both separated by a dielectric.
