It is also applicable in demanding applications such as computers, portable phones, handheld devices and other intelligent systems. Tantalum - Polymer Capacitors are used for power supply and decoupling, general circuits, clock circuits, signal processing and RF rectifier circuit applications.In decoupling and power supply applications, Tantalum - Polymer Capacitors offer improved performance due to its low equivalent series resistance (ESR). It enables a more stable voltage and lower noise compared to other capacitors. In signal processing and VCO applications, they offer high volume capacitance and tight tolerances on their capacitance stability. In RF rectifier circuits, they minimize insertion loss, isolate and extend the signal range, and provide power source stability.Working Principle
T540D226K020BT8605 is made up of three layers: the dielectric layer which separates the two electrodes and typically composed of a polymer dielectric, the positive electrodes and negative electrodes. Its working principle is based on the electrostatic field created between these two electrodes. When a voltage is applied to the capacitor, an electric field is generated inside the dielectric material, which traps electric charges on each electrode.When capacitor is discharged, the electrostatic field dissipates and the electric charges leak away or recombine. When recharged, electric charges accumulated on each electrode and the electric field is re-generated. The strength of the electric field is proportional to the amount of electric charge accumulated on each electrode and the dielectric material separating the electrodes.
