Working Principle
Tantalum – Polymer Capacitors are highly integrated semiconductor components whose operating principle heavily relies on the fact that they are basically two oppositely charged plates with a dielectric substance — composed of polymers, oxidizers, and tantalum salts — between them. This combination is known as “dielectric-layer-on-dielectric”, or DiLD. The dielectric-layer-on-dielectric is responsible for the particularly high temperatures that can be reached by Tangalum - Polymer Capacitors with up to 150° C.
When current flows through the circuit, electrons collect on the capacitor\'s plates and store energy temporarily, causing a build up of energy. The electrons move back and forth and create a magnetic field, which is stored in the capacitor. The more current flowing through the capacitor, the more energy is transferred, resulting in a higher charge stored in the capacitor.
