T541X107M030DT8520 is an specific form of a tantalum-polymer capacitor, which are a type of components used in many electrical and electronic applications. They are made up of a tantalum anode and a special type of electrically resistive plastic encasing the anode with a dielectric (insulating) layer.
This combination allows for a much higher capacitance than is possible with other capacitors, but with a concomitant reduction in operating temperatures. The amount of charge that can be released is determined by the capacitance of the capacitor and the voltage across the plates. Generally speaking, the larger the capacitance, the higher the voltage that can be stored by the capacitor.
Tantalum-polymer capacitors are favored for use in high performance, high reliability applications due to their high operating temperatures, low leakage rates and good temperature stability. They are also preferred for low temperature applications where components need to remain stable at lower temperatures.
In addition, the unique structure of the tantalum-polymer capacitor prevents charge from being leaked from the capacitor, which is important when dealing with sensitive signals and circuitry. This makes them well suited for use in delicate and sensitive analog circuits, as well as radio-frequency measurement, signal detection and digital logic circuits.
