TA-35.328MCD-T is a type of high-performance oscillator from the Tri-Star family of digital oscillators manufactured by Temex Ceramics. It provides improved jitter performance, and tighter frequency pull range while improving its temperature, shock and vibration stability. The oscillator works in a wide range of frequencies from 32.768 kHz to 53.125 MHz. The output levels are either positive or negative 1.4 volts peak to peak, or 3.3 volts peak-to-peak.The TA-35.328MCD-T oscillator operates in an over temperature/over voltage condition with a supply voltage of 2.97 V to 3.63 V. It has a stability of +/- 50 ppm and a fixed temperature coefficient of +/- 150 ppm/degC. It also has tight frequency pull range and excellent shock and vibration characteristics making it suitable for automotive, aerospace and defense applications.The TA-35.328MCD-T is a low-power device manufactured with the latest 45nm silicon technology. It operates a Jitter Additive Frequency Modulation (JAFM) architecture which provides the highest electrical performance levels and maximum shock and vibration immunity. The design of the oscillator uses a special piezoelectric ceramic-based resonator technology which is highly reliable and robust.The TA-35.328MCD-T is a three-stage oscillator and consists of an amplifier, a resonator, and a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO). The amplifier acts as a buffer between the input and output of the device. It amplifies the input signal and provides a low impedance output for driving the resonator. The resonator acts as an electrical filter and is designed to pick a single frequency and reject all others. It is this signal that is then fed to the VCO for frequency multipliers, dividers or phase detectors. The VCO will generate the required frequency from this signal.The TA-35.328MCD-T is highly reliable in demanding applications such as automotive, aerospace, and defense. Its high performance levels and excellent shock and vibration characteristics make it suitable for these applications. Being low-power and manufactured with 45nm silicon technology, it is also suitable for wearable and portable electronic devices.
