TAS5010PFB Application Field and Working Principle
The TAS5010PFB is a single-chip digital audio processor, which mainly integrates low-power audio signal processing algorithms, power management, and analog signal processing functions in one chip. It can be used in portable audio, PC/notebook audio, automotive audio, high-fidelity audio, and other fields. This chip can help users to reduce the complexity of the system circuit, reduce the number of components, reduce system noise, and provide the user with higher quality audio signal processing performance.
The TAS5010PFB supports both digital and analog audio systems and multi-channel input/output (I/O) processing. It is equipped with several processing cores including equalizer, dynamic range compressor, adjustable counter-frequency and time delay, input / output auto gain control, etc. It supports the latest audio formats and sensing technologies such as Dolby® Digital, Dolby Digital Plus and DTS®. It also supports I2S, TDM, SDIN and PCM digital interfaces, and 4-channel I/O, stereo line input and stereo headphone output.
The TAS5010PFB chips also support reset control and built-in standby power. With high system integration, it reduces the noise caused by external components and alleviates the cost of system design. The chip also supports 12-bit pulse-width modulation (PWM) with a sampling rate of up to 6MHz. The built-in ADCs and DACs with 16-bit resolution can achieve a high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 97.5dB.
The TAS5010PFB can decode audio signals to PCM digital audio signals of 16-bit stereo 44/48/96/192kHz. There are two types of external power supplies, a stereo class D amplifier power supply and a single-ended analogue power supply. Low-power voice processing algorithms can be used to process low-power analog audio signals to effectively improve the audio quality. The built-in DSP core can perform real-time analysis and automated digital audio processing.
The audio signal from the TAS5010PFB processor is amplified by a class D amplifier with a power output of up to 2×44W or 2×93W. The built-in multiple protection functions, such as overvoltage, overcurrent and thermal protection, can provide chip protection and avoid damage to the equipment. It can also adjust the static current, dynamic current and maximum output current of the chip to reduce power consumption.
