Audio linear amplifiers are classified into two main types. The second DSP then processes the audio data, further increasing its resolution and accuracy, while also reinforcing the linearity of the amplifier’s gain stages.

The TAS5725RGZR also features an integrated high power output stage with PWM MOSFET drivers that allow up to 8 outputs to be driven in parallel. This allows the amplifier to reach outputs up to 4.5V p-p which makes it ideal for low power, low distortion audio applications. The integrated power output stage also provides exceptional efficiency and reduces the need for external components.

In addition, the chip features Variable Power Scaling, allowing the user to adjust the overall output power by up to 1/4th. This feature is especially useful for reducing power consumption in mobile and portable applications, where energy saving is of paramount importance.

The TAS5725RGZR also includes a wide range of features that allow the user to customize the audio output, such as an adjustable low-pass filter, a soft clip limiter and a thermal compensation circuitry.
