The TAS5766MRMTT is a monolithic, digital class-D audio amplifier which includes an integrated, digital audio processor and differentiated digital EQ and system control functions. The device, which combines several integrated circuits in a single package, has been designed and developed in partnership with Texas Instruments and Renesas. It is suitable for audio applications such as home Entertainment systems, automotive audio and professional audio.

The TAS5766MRMTT’s digital audio processor allows the implementation of various digital sound control functions such as equalization, bass management, and virtual surround sound. The processor then outputs a digital stream to the amplifier core, which is based on the Texas Instruments PurePath digital AmplifierTM technology. This technology combines the processing power and flexibility of digital signal processing with the audio clarity of linear Class-D amplification technology.

The digital signal is fed into the PurePath Amplifier core which then modulates the input signal and converts it into a high frequency Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) form. The high frequency PWM signal is then fed into the output stage which then converts it into an analog signal. The output stage also includes an output power stage which is capable of driving up to 100W into four 8Ω loads in a bridged configuration. The output of this power stage is then fed into the external power supply to deliver the fully amplified audio signal.
