Oscillators & TC-8.192MCD-T Application Field and Working Principle
Oscillators are important components in many electronic systems. Typical oscillators include voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs), voltage-controlled crystal oscillators (VCXOs), oven-controlled crystal oscillators (OCXOs), and temperature-compensated crystal oscillators (TCXOs). Among these oscillators, TCXOs are the most commonly used type. TCXO features a built-in temperature-dependent compensation circuitry to correct the frequency variations caused by environmental temperature changes.TC-8.192MCD-T is one type of temperature-compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO). It is designed to keep excellent frequency stability over the wide operating temperature range from -40 degrees Celsius to +85 degrees Celsius. Typical applications of TC-8.192MCD-T include navigation and timing systems such as GPS, GSM, WLAN/WiFi, and terrestrial broadcasting.Working Principle of TC-8.192MCD-T The core of the TC-8.192MCD-T is an AT-cut quartz crystal resonator which provides a very high frequency stability. The quartz crystal resonator also exhibits a significant frequency shift in response to environmental temperature changes. To compensate for this effect, the TC-8.192MCD-T is equipped with a temperature compensation circuit in the form of a proportional-integral-derivative (PID) loop. The PID loop reduces the frequency error to less than +/-2.0ppm over a wide operating temperature range of -40℃ to +85℃. The TC-8.192MCD-T also has a frequency-stability feature called temperature-walk compensation. This feature is designed to achieve a more accurate frequency shift at lower temperatures. When powering up, the oscillator loop time is adjusted and optimized to the crystal resonator frequency and temperature conditions, resulting in improved jitter performance. Furthermore, the TC-8.192MCD-T achieves a fast start-up times and low power consumption. The TC-8.192MCD-T is designed to meet the stringent requirements of many wireless communication systems. It features fast start-up times and a low power consumption, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. It is specifically designed for navigation and timing systems such as GPS, GSM, WLAN/WiFi, and terrestrial broadcasting. In addition, the TC-8.192MCD-T can be used in other applications requiring highly reliable and stable frequency sources. The TC-8.192MCD-T is available in the form of a 2.5 x 2.0 mm, 14-pin, SMD package, making it easy to integrate into a wide range of transceiver systems. It is designed to operate from a single 3.3V supply voltage and draws only 0.8mA of supply current. The device also features a low jitter performance and excellent short-term and long-term frequency stability. Conclusion TC-8.192MCD-T is a temperature-compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO), designed to keep excellent frequency stability over wide operating temperature range from -40℃ to +85℃. It features fast start-up times, low power consumption, and a low jitter performance. The TC-8.192MCD-T is specifically designed for navigation and timing systems such as GPS, GSM, WLAN/WiFi, and terrestrial broadcasting, but can also be used in other applications requiring highly reliable and stable frequency sources. The TC-8.192MCD-T is available in the form of a 2.5 x 2.0 mm, 14-pin, SMD package, making it easy to integrate into a wide range of transceiver systems. The specific data is subject to PDF, and the above content is for reference
