Introduction

The TC1303A-ZP0EUN is a highly integrated power management integrated circuit (PMIC) designed for low-power applications that require highly efficient voltage regulation. Working Principle

The TC1303A-ZP0EUN is designed to work with a high-performance Arm® Cortex™ Processor and high-density DRAM. The internal architecture of the TC1303A-ZP0EUN allows for current sharing, providing a maximum of 1A current output and 2A/2.8A peak forward current. It features an I2C based adaptive voltage scaling (found in VCMEA) to provide dynamically scalable and adjustable voltage solutions. The PMIC has an integrated ultra-low-noise low-dropout (ULN-LDO) regulator, which can provide a steady voltage output with low ripple and fast response time. The TC1303A-ZP0EUN also has a separated input and output mux, allowing the PMIC to be connected to both an external buck converter and an internal voltage LDO, making it ideal for multi-rail systems.The TC1303A-ZP0EUN operates in either normal or standby mode. In the normal mode, all regulators are enabled, providing the desired output voltage. On power-down, the TC1303A-ZP0EUN automatically enters the standby mode and reduces the current drawn to less than 0.25uA. The PMIC also provides output status feedback and programmable polarity inversion, allowing the device to be used in a variety of application settings.
