The TC1304-ZS0EMF is a low dropout, high performance, monolithic linear and switching voltage regulator. It is specially designed for applications that require low noise, crossover current and high input-output voltage stability. TC1304-ZS0EMF is a high performance, low dropout, and low power voltage regulator family. It has adjustable output voltage and can provide variable output voltage from 0.7V to 18V with a very high output current of 5A and maximum quiescent current of only 1.5mA. It also has a very wide input voltage range from 2.7V to 18V and provides protection against overvoltage, short-circuit and over-temperature conditions. The TC1304-ZS0EMF has a unique combination of both linear and switching voltage regulation, making it an extremely versatile regulator. The linear operation of the regulator is achieved through the use of low dropout transistors, while the switching operation is achieved through the use of a high frequency switching voltage regulator with feedback control. The output of the switching regulator is then filtered to produce a regulated output. This combination of linear and switching regulation allows for extremely low noise levels, fast response times and low power consumption.The TC1304-ZS0EMF has excellent input-output voltage stability and can operate from a very wide range of input and output voltages. It is designed to maintain a constant output voltage regardless of the input voltage, allowing for a high degree of flexibility. The device also offers protection against overvoltage, over-current, and over-temperature conditions.
