Working Principle of TC648BEOA

The TC648BEOA incorporates the reverse current detection circuit, over-temperature protection circuit, zero voltage switching signal controller, DAC filter and other integrated functions. Based on the state signal input, it implements zero-voltage/transition switching of the external MOSFETs. During normal operation, the driver accelerates both MOSFETs, driving them towards the on-level, then latches and maintains them in the on-state.

When the switch pin voltage is below the off-level, the driver current quickly decreases to the gate-emission current, causing the MOSFETs to turn off. Moreover, after the current is lower than the off-level, the drive begins to reset, thereby reducing reverse-current vias MOSFET.

The TC648BEOA driver features a wide operating voltage range from 7 to 30V, allowing it to be used in a variety of applications. In addition, it provides an externally adjustable over-temperature protection circuit and a shutdown signal port for input, which can be used, for example, to signal the unit to shut down during brownout conditions.
