Common Mode Chokes are widely used in power supply circuits, such as switched mode power supplies, uninterruptible power supplies, and other power control systems. TCK-132 is the most widely used Common Mode Choke for such applications. It has a unique design that offers excellent noise suppression without overshadowing the control intelligence of the power supply.

The TCK-132 common mode choke utilizes three segmented parts to create an effective common mode filter. It has two differential inductor coils and a center body/shunt capacitor. The two coils are made up of several turns of very thin, high permeability wire, forming a tightly coupled pair. The center body is a ferrite core with a capacitor connected between it and the differential inductors.

The differential coil combines linear components, such as inductance and impedance with non-linear components, such as capacitance, which can interact with each other and cancel out noise. With the non-linear components as a magnetic field, the noise signal is suppressed or attenuated. At the same time, the electric fields generated by the noise signals are also reduced. This results in better conducted and radiated immunity of the TCK-132 Common Mode Choke.

In addition, the low radial magnetic field generated by the two differential coil windings minimizes common mode impedance which improves noise reduction. The capacitor connected between the two coils effectively acts as a high pass filter, which has a better ability to suppress high frequency noise.

The TCK-132 Common Mode Choke provides excellent high fidelity signal integrity, with a very low noise-to-noise ratio. It can be applied in a variety of power control systems and power electronic systems, such as switching mode power supplies, current sensors, solenoids, motor drives, motor CVs, and AC/DC converters. TCK-132 common mode chokes provide a high yield protection against the damages caused by the high frequencies noise as well as against the damages caused by transients and fast switching.

The unique design of TCK-132 Common Mode Choke combines high-end components, such as very thin high permeability wire and a ferrite core, while also utilizing its specially designed non-linear components to achieve superior noise suppression. This makes TCK-132 the ideal choice for noise suppression in power control systems and other power electronic system applications.
