TCO-7087X1A4 8.0000M is an oscillator designed for applications that are in need of precise, high accuracy frequency stability and short start-up times for reliable, continuous performance over a temperature range of -40ºC to +85ºC. - It uses a Phase-Locked Loop (PLL) to regulate the frequency of the oscillations.
The quartz crystal resonator is the fundamental part of the oscillator. It modulates and controls the frequency of the oscillations by adjusting the voltage of the resonator. The resonator is used to convert electrical energy into mechanical energy according to the quartz crystal properties. The quartz crystal is a natural crystal material which has low impedance and a very stable frequency response over a wide temperature range, allowing for precise frequency regulation and a very low phase noise.
The VCO is a type of oscillator which is used to control the frequency of the oscillations. The oscillator takes input frequency from the quartz crystal resonator and produces an output frequency by adjusting the voltage of the VCO. The output frequency of the VCO can be controlled using a microcontroller, which allows for precise frequency regulation within the oscillator’s specified range.
The Phase-Locked Loop (PLL) is a type of feedback mechanism which is used to maintain stability within the oscillator.
