TCP-3168H-DT, short for Chinese telecom base station power amplifier, is a high-power Long Term Evolution (LTE) linear amplifier used in 4G/LTE base station applications. It is high-power linear amplifier based on FET technology. Working Principle

The working principle of the TCP-3168H-DT is based on the use of field-effect transistors (FETs) as gain elements. These FETs are operated in a novel Class E/D hybrid linear power amplifier topology, allowing the amplifier to achieve very high efficiency levels. The Class E/D topology combines the power efficiency of Class D operation with the upturn efficiency of Class E, resulting in an excellent peak efficiency of up to 50%. Additionally, this topology allows tens of dBs of linearity, suitable for 4G/LTE base station applications. This combination of high efficiency and linearity makes the TCP-3168H-DT an excellent choice for 4G/LTE base stations with short-range coverage.

Moreover, the amplifier features a number of safeguards to ensure reliable operation. The on-board over-voltage and over-temperature protection circuits, as well as the ESD protection circuitry, protect the device during peak conditions.
