It is composed of sintered barium titanate, which has resistance values and B values that depend on temperature. PTC thermistors can be divided into SMT type and through hole type according to different range of usage. TFPT0603L5600JV is a Smd Power thermistor.

TFPT0603L5600JV is specially designed to meet the demand of intelligent power switch market. It is mainly used for overcurrent/overvoltage protection in communication charger, pluggable charger, notebook charger, DC/DC converter etc. It has fast responding time to overcurrent and switching off when current exceed threshold level. Working Principle
The working principle of TFPT0603L5600JV is well understood when looking at its typical I-V (current-voltage) characteristic curve. When the temperature increases, the resistance drops rapidly and the current flowing through the PTC thermistor also increases.
