The THM 3-4821 is a DC/DC converter based on a non-isolated, forward topology. It includes a chemi-resistant PTC thermistor for temperature protection, which makes it more reliable in a wide-temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. The module features an efficient conversion with high power density, and its tiny module size is 40% smaller compared to current solutions.

The THM 3-4821 also offers a wide input voltage range of 8~75VDC and a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, with up to 400kHz of switching frequency. It supports 2:1 input voltage range, providing four output voltage versions; 5/12/24/48VDC.

The module uses a synchronous rectification technology to deliver the high efficiency of up to 96% and low output voltage ripple of 6 pixel/10-MHz bandwidth. The THM 3-4821 also features a digital PWM dimming control input, allowing the adjustment of output power. Moreover, it has no minimum load requirement and it offers consistent performance over current, power, and temperature.
