Data Acquisition - Digital to Analog Converters (DAC) is used in many application areas in order for digital signals to be transformed into analog format for further processing. One such device is the THS5661AIPWRG4. The THS5661AIPWRG4 is an integrated dual 8-bit digital to analog converter (DAC) providing both fine and coarse control of current output, enabling increased control with two precision control points for each output.

This device comprises two independent dual 8-bit inputs with each input associated with its own output. The device includes programmable gain amplifiers with a single-ended (unipolar) output voltage range of up to 0.55V and dedicated drive amplifiers providing current outputs up to 18mA per output. The THS5661AIPWRG4 also features buffered digital inputs that eliminate toggling currents, enabling high-speed operation of up to few Mbit/second.
