Working Principle

The TMM-106-01-T-D-RA-005 is designed to allow single pass-through of a single wire. The product housing consists of two parts; a rectangular ‘body’ and a screw-down ‘latch’. Inside the body there is a contact guide which is used to guide the wire into the correct orientation prior to the contact being inserted. This helps maintain a stable and secure connection.

The contact then passes through the contact guide and a pair of clamps which hold the contact in the exact position inside the body. A pair of terminals at the end of the contact also ensure correct polarity on the connection.

The latch, when secured, holds the contact guides in position, provides an electrical connection between the contact and the circuit board, and aids in strain relief. The lattice-shaped design of the latch helps to reduce the impact of electrical surges, thereby offering a reliable and durable connection.

The TMM-106-01-T-D-RA-005 offers a recommended working temperature range of -40°C to 105°C. It is UL listed and RoHS compliant, and the product has a recommended insertion and extraction force of ≤50N.
