• Working Principle

The TMMH-147-04-S-5 is a rectangular connector with a 5-pin arrangement. It consists of two parts, the receptacle and the plug. The receptacle is mounted in the wall of a box or enclosure and the plug is connected to the cables or wires. The receptacle includes a positive contact with one spring-loaded contact and two carrying members that are arranged in a circle near the spring-loaded contact. The carrying members distribute the force applied to the mating contacts evenly to achieve a reliable connection and seal.The plug is also composed of two parts, the contact and the cover. It has punched metal contacts arranged in a circle near the inner loop of the plug and a flexible cover that covers the exterior of the plug. The flexible cover prevents dust, dirt, and moisture from entering the contact area and also minimizes electromagnetic interference. The plug also includes a pawl that locates into the hole on the cover when properly inserted into the receptacle, providing a secure connection between the two parts.The two parts are mated by pushing the plug into the receptacle, ensuring that the contact forces are evenly distributed. The mating and unmating of the connecting parts is made easy by the flexible cover. The pawl prevents accidental ejection of the plug from the receptacle by catching it in the hole on the cover after mating. The plug and receptacle are secured by inserting two screws through the mounting holes on the sides of the connector.
