TVS - Varistors, MOVs
Transient Voltage Surge Suppressors (TVS) are devices that protect sensitive electronics from overvoltage transients in electrical lines. Varistors, also known as Metal Oxide Varistors (MOVs) are one type of TVS. MOVs provide protection from voltage transients, either from electrical noise or from current surge.
